This DayDreamer model is made from a beautiful deep red crushed celluloid. It features black acrylic finials, sterling silver accent rings and a solid silver and red finial coin.
Celluloid, (cellulose nitrate), is becoming more and more scarce for pen making and is now very hard to acquire. These days you are more likely to find pens made from its more abundant cousin, cellulose acetate, which is another favourite here at Rockster Pens.
The scarcity is, in most part, due to the unpredictable nature of celluloid which means great care is required when working with it. The results, however, are well worth it. It has a beautiful depth of colour and the crushed pattern in this example is simply stunning. It also feels wonderful in the hand both in terms of weight and the soft, warm feel of the material.
It is shown fitted with a Jowo no6 polished steel nib. Other Jowo options are available and you will be contacted after purchase to confirm your choice.
The 1315 is a medium sized pen with a step between the 13mm cap threads and the remainder of the tapered barrel which is ≈15mm in diameter at the widest point. The grip section is slightly pinched to ≈11mm diameter at its narrowest point.
The cap tapers towards the end. The cap cannot be posted onto the end of the pen. As these pens are all hand made there may be small variations on measurements.
Length - Capped ≈ 140mm, uncapped ≈ 134mm
It is provided with a high quality Beaufort Ink international standard sized converter. Standard ink cartridges can also be used.
