Big Rascal Artisan - Jet Tortoiseshell
A Rascal model crafted from Honey Shadow cellulose acetate. This is the Artisan version, featuring a pocket clip and three accent rings - placed at the section, cap finial, and barrel finial. The Artisan is the most intricate of the Rascal styles, designed for those who appreciate craftsmanship in every element.
Construction Note (Cellulose Acetate):
This pen is made from cellulose acetate, which can show internal machining marks more than most materials, especially in lighter or translucent areas. For that reason, the inside of the cap and barrel is finished and polished by hand to achieve a cleaner look through the material. To protect the longevity of the threads, the cap threads are made separately in ebonite rather than being cut directly into the acetate. This is a more time-consuming build than my standard Rascal, but it gives the best result for this material.

Diameter: The "Big" version is the larger size with 14mm cap threads, and a Barrel diameter (widest point) ≈ 16.8mm. The grip section (narrowest point) ≈ 12.8mm
Model Description:
The Rascal is a shorter, stockier pen compared to a typical length pen, measuring around 132mm (5.2 inches) closed and 120mm (4.75 inches) open. Both the cap and barrel taper towards their ends, creating a comfortable and well-balanced profile.
Each pen is individually handcrafted, so small variations in measurements are natural, making every Rascal one of a kind.
Ink Supply: Fitted with a high-quality, threaded Schmidt converter (international standard size).
