Shipping policy
Rockster Pens Shipping Policy
I ship worldwide from my small UK workshop, with care and attention to each order. Here’s how it works:
📦 Dispatch Days
Orders are usually packed and shipped on Mondays and Fridays. Occasionally I’ll send things out in between, but those are my standard shipping days.
If your pen is already made and in stock, I aim to dispatch it within 2 business days of your order, usually on the next Monday or Friday.
🌍 Shipping Destinations
I ship worldwide from my workshop in the UK to almost every corner of the globe.
If your country isn’t available at checkout, just drop me a message and I’ll do my best to make it happen.
🚚 Delivery Method
All orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked & Signed (or Tracked, depending on your country). This service includes tracking and insurance of up to £250 as standard.
In many cases, this covers the full value of your order. If your order exceeds this and you’d like to discuss additional shipping insurance or an alternative courier, just get in touch before ordering.
💰 Shipping Costs
Shipping costs vary by location, service and weight. Final pricing is shown at checkout.
I use reliable, tracked services, and I don’t add profit to postage. Shipping prices may include a small rounding to cover unavoidable carrier/processing fees (for example, Royal Mail’s £0.50 transaction charge on some US services).
🧾 Customs, Duties & Taxes
If you’re ordering from outside the UK you may be charged import duties, taxes or customs handling fees when your order arrives in your country. These charges are set and collected by your local customs authority and are not included in the item price or base shipping cost.
For US customers only:
- A 10% import duty applies to UK-made fountain pens.
- This duty is calculated on the total value of your order (pen + shipping cost).
- The duty is collected automatically at checkout, together with a small processing fee (currently around 0.5%)applied by the system that calculates and remits duties.
- Occasionally, minor clearance or handling charges may also be bundled into this line.
The advantage is that your order clears US Customs smoothly, with no surprise bills when your parcel arrives. What you see at checkout is the total amount due.
📬 Lost or Delayed Deliveries
Thankfully, delays and losses are rare, but if your order hasn’t arrived when expected:
- Check the tracking link first
- Give it a few extra days (especially during postal strikes, holidays or customs delays)
- Then get in touch, and I’ll help investigate
If a parcel is officially lost (confirmed by Royal Mail), I will offer a replacement or refund up to the insured value. For orders above the £250 insurance limit, I’ll assess things case by case and always try to do what’s fair.
