This TroubleShooter is made from genuine blue celluloid (cellulose nitrate) with black acrylic and sterling silver accents. Celluloid is an increasingly scarce material to find and requires more skill attention to work with. It feels beautifully warm and soft to the touch, meaning extra care is needed when using this renowned resin as it is more susceptible to showing signs of use compared to other, harder plastics.
Polished to a glass like finish the pen has a 100% recycled sterling silver logo coin in the cap finial. It has a chrome plated stainless steel pocket clip and is fitted with a Jowo no6 polished steel nib.
The 1414 is a slightly wider pen with no step between the 14mm cap threads and the remainder of the barrel. The grip section is slightly pinched to ≈12.2mm diameter at its narrowest point. The cap tapers towards the end and cannot be posted onto the end of the pen. As these pens are all hand made there may be small variations on measurements.
