This DayDreamer model is made from black and orange dyed, stabilised maple burl. The process involves using pressure and/or vacuum to impregnate the wood's cellular structure with resin to improve the stability of the wood.
Orange acrylic is used for the section and finials, and this material is used to fully line both the cap and barrel. Sterling silver accent rings, an enamel logo coin and chrome plated sprung steel clip with matching cabochon finish the pen.
The acrylic is polished to a mirror finish while the stabilised wood is coated in a hard wax satin finish.
Please note that wooden pens are, by their very nature, less robust than plastic equivalents and as such appropriate care should be taken when using and carrying/storing them.
It is shown fitted with a Jowo no6 polished steel nib.
The 1315 is a wider sized pen with a step between the 13mm cap threads and the remainder of the tapered barrel which is 15mm in diameter at the widest point. The grip section is slightly pinched to ≈11.5mm diameter at its narrowest point.
The cap tapers towards the end. As these pens are all hand made there may be small variations on measurements.
Length - Capped ≈ 144mm, uncapped ≈ 133mm
It is provided with a high quality Schmidt screw-in international standard sized converter.
Please note that pens ship Mondays and Fridays.
