This DayDreamer model is made from natural, dyed and stabilised Buckeye burl. The process involves using pressure and/or vacuum to impregnate the wood's cellular structure with resin to improve the stability of the wood. In this example orange and black dye is introduced at the same time.
Beautiful tortoiseshell coloured cellulose is used for the cap threads and section. This is a favourite material here at Rockster as to only does it look great but it feels soft and warm to the touch. It features a red section rig and the cap finial houses a solid sterling silver and red logo coin.
It is shown fitted with a Bock no6 two-tone nib.
The 1315 is a wider sized pen with a step between the 13mm cap threads and the remainder of the tapered barrel which is 15mm in diameter at the widest point. The grip section is slightly pinched to ≈11.5mm diameter at its narrowest point.
The cap tapers towards the end. As these pens are all hand made there may be small variations on measurements.
Length - Capped ≈ 140mm, uncapped ≈ 134mm
It is provided with a high quality Beaufort Ink international standard sized converter. Standard ink cartridges can also be used.
