This DayDreamer model is made from natural African ebony with a contrasting orange pearl accent feature on the barrel. Beautiful tortoiseshell coloured cellulose is used for the cap threads and section. This is a favourite material here at Rockster as to only does it look great but it feels soft and warm to the touch. It features a solid sterling silver splat roll stop and silver & black splat logo coin.
I describe the finish as “natural”. The pen is oiled, waxed, buffed and polished which gives it a satin lustre on the wood parts and, whilst completely smooth to the touch, you can still see the grain and characteristics of the wood, including small imperfections. No lacquer or varnish has been added.
The cellulose and silver areas are highly polished.
It takes a Jowo No 6 nib (it is shown fitted with a Jemini Jowo compatible nib with ebonite housing. The price quoted is for a standard Jowo nib).
The 1315 is a wider sized pen with a step between the 13mm cap threads and the remainder of the tapered barrel which is 15mm in diameter at the widest point. The grip section is slightly pinched to ≈11.5mm diameter at its narrowest point.
The cap tapers towards the end. As these pens are all hand made there may be small variations on measurements. This model does not post.
Length - Capped ≈ 140mm, uncapped ≈ 134mm
It is provided with a high quality Beaufort Ink international standard sized converter. Standard ink cartridges can also be used.
