This DayDreamer model is made from natural Indian Rosewood. Beautiful Vermillion Dreams cellulose is used for the cap threads and section. This is a favourite material here at Rockster as to only does it look great but it feels soft and warm to the touch. It features a solid sterling silver section ring and the cap finial houses a solid sterling silver and red logo coin.
I describe the finish as “natural”. The pen is oiled, waxed, buffed and polished which gives it a satin lustre and, whilst completely smooth to the touch, you can still see the grain and natural characteristics of the wood, including small imperfections. No lacquer or varnish has been added. It is best suited as a desk pen and isn't one for throwing into the bottom of a handbag where it my pick up marks and superficial scratches.
It is shown fitted with a Jowo no6 polished steel nib.
The 1315 is a wider sized pen with a step between the 13mm cap threads and the remainder of the tapered barrel which is 15mm in diameter at the widest point. The grip section is slightly pinched to ≈11.5mm diameter at its narrowest point.
The cap tapers towards the end. As these pens are all hand made there may be small variations on measurements.
Length - Capped ≈ 140mm, uncapped ≈ 134mm
It is provided with a high quality Beaufort Ink international standard sized converter. Standard ink cartridges can also be used.
