This SweetTalker model is made from natural, stabilised brown mallee burl. The process involves using pressure and/or vacuum to impregnate the wood's cellular structure with resin to improve the stability of the wood.
Beautiful tortoiseshell coloured cellulose is used for the cap threads and section. This is a favourite material here at Rockster as to only does it look great but it feels soft and warm to the touch. It features a red section ring and the cap finial houses a solid sterling silver and red logo coin.
It is shown fitted with a Jowo no6 gold plate nib.
I describe the finish as “natural”. The pen is buffed and polished which gives it a satin lustre and, whilst completely smooth to the touch, you can still see the grain and characteristics of the wood, including small imperfections. It is finished with a coating of natural wood wax. No lacquer or varnish has been added.
The 1315 is a wider sized pen with a step between the 13mm cap threads and the remainder of the tapered barrel which is 15mm in diameter at the widest point. The grip section is slightly pinched to ≈11.3mm diameter at its narrowest point.
As these pens are all hand made there may be small variations on measurements.
Length - Capped ≈ 140mm, uncapped ≈ 134mm
It is provided with a high quality Beaufort Ink international standard sized converter. Standard ink cartridges can also be used.
